To facilitate better treatment for poor and destitute patients, Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC donated Tk 1.0 million to Bangladesh Thalassaemia Hospital. SEVP & Company Secretary of the bank Md Abul Bashar handed over a cheque to Dr AKM Ekramul Hossain Swapan, Executive Director of the hospital, at a formal ceremony organised by the hospital on Sunday. General Secretary of Bangladesh Thalassemia Samity Md Mosharraf Hossain, Chief Medical Officer of Bangladesh Thalassaemia Hospital Dr Kabirul Islam, FAVP of Shahjalal Islami Bank Md Sanaur Rashid (Sagor), JAVP & In-charge of Public Relations Department (CC) KM Harunur Rashid and Executive Officer of Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation Md Kamal Mia were also present.
