The Chandpur branch of Social Islami Bank arranged a get-together with its remittance clients on Saturday in a bid to raise awareness of the role remittances play in the socio-economic development of the country. Zafar Alam, the bank's managing director and CEO, was the chief guest at the programme, while Mohammad Habibur Rahman, deputy managing director, attended as a special guest.
