Square Pharmaceuticals on Tuesday featured the highest turnover value following investors' increased transactions executed in the main trading floor and block board.
On the day, the company posted a turnover of Tk 315 million and snared 7.77 per cent of the market turnover featured by Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
Of total turnover featured by Square Pharmaceuticals, Tk 273 million came from transactions executed in main trading floor of the prime bourse.
The remaining Tk 40 million from the transactions was executed in the block board.
Meanwhile, two directors of the company-Anjan Chowdhury and Ratna Patra- have expressed intension to purchase 0.3 million shares each at the prevailing market price.
According to two separate corporate disclosures posted on DSE website, the said amount of shares will be purchased from the public market within 30 working days.
On Tuesday, the share price of Square Pharmaceuticals closed at Tk 195.10 each with a marginal loss of 0.36 per cent or Tk 0.7 on the DSE.
The company's sponsor-directors hold 34.43 per cent shares, institutes 10.28 per cent, foreigners 19.83 per cent and general investors 35.46 per cent as on November 30, 2019.
Of other turnover leaders, LafargeHolcim Bangladesh posted a turnover of Tk 276 million and captured 6.80 per cent of the market turnover.
On Tuesday, the company's share price advanced 1.21 per cent to close at Tk 41.70 each.
Grameenphone posted a turnover of Tk 160 million and grabbed 3.95 per cent of the market turnover.
The company's share price declined 1.83 per cent to close at Tk 272.80 each on the DSE.
Khulna Power Company featured a turnover of Tk 124 million and captured 3.05 per cent of the total market transaction.
The company's share price advanced 1.54 per cent to close at Tk 53 each.
S. S. Steel grabbed 2.81 per cent of the market turnover after featuring a value of Tk 114 million.
On Tuesday, the company's share price remained unchanged at Tk 13.70 each on the DSE.
Of other turnover leaders, ADN Telecom featured a turnover of Tk 98 million followed by Beacon Pharmaceuticals Tk 92 million, SK Trims Tk 84 million and Paramount Textiles Tk 79 million.
