Standard Chartered Bank signs MoU with BAT Bangladesh

British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BAT Bangladesh) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) to avail the 'Supply Chain Finance' programme - a financing programme for the distributors and suppliers of the bank's corporate clients, according to a statement.
Shehzad Munim, Managing Director, BAT Bangladesh and Naser Ezaz Bijoy, CEO, Standard Chartered Bangladesh signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies in a ceremony held at BAT Head Office in the city recently.
Kanan Kumar Roy, Member (Tax Policy) and Iktiar Uddin Mohammed Mamun, First Secretary (Tax Policy), National Board of Revenue and other senior officials of the two companies were also present at the ceremony.
Under the programme, the BAT Bangladesh distributors will get financing facility on easier terms from Standard Chartered Bank for the goods purchased.
