A talent hunt competition "Marks All-rounder 2014" is again going to be held across the country aims to provide a platform for the school students to flourish their talents.
Sponsored by Marks Full Cream Milk Powder, a brand of Abul Khair Group, the competition was announced at a press conference at a restaurant in the city Tuesday.
The press conference was addressed, among others, by Naushad Karim, brand director of Abul Khair Group, Tasneem A Karim, consultant of the group's consumer goods division, Mosaddek Hossain Falu, managing director of NTV, Rafiqul Haque, managing director of Radio Today, and Ashish Chakraborty, general manager of SSL Wireless.
Officials said that they believe every child is very special, and each of them has somehow trait; "Marks All-rounder is the platform for manifestation of that talent within the children and adolescents."

In the initiation (selection) round of the contest's primary stage, the competitors shall be selected from around 40,000 schools in all the seven divisions, dividing into two groups-- one primary (class I to V) and the other secondary (class VI to X).
The subjects, based on which they will be selected, are dance, song, acting (single), drawing, recitation, quiz competition, storytelling (primary) and extempore speech (secondary).
The 7 divisions will be divided into 25 zones for the selection. Dhaka- 13 zones, (Dhaka Metro 9 zones, Narayanganj, Mymensingh, Savar, Faridpur), Chittagong- 5 zones (Chittagong Metro 3 zones, Noakhali, Comilla), Sylhet- 2 zones, Rajshahi- 1 zone, Khulna- 2 zone (Khulna Metro and Jessore), Rangpur- 1 zone and Barisal- 1 zone.
The selection round shall be from March 28, 2014.
One competitor shall have to participate in any one or all subjects of his/her respective division.
The 100 best all-rounders, selected from the zones, shall be nominated for next round. Then, 26 winners shall be selected for Theatre round. The six competitors selected finally from two groups shall participate in the grand final.
