Tank terminal of Omera Fuels opens

Nasrul Hamid, MP, State Minister, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources recently inaugurated a tank terminal of Omera Fuels Limited. Omera Fuels Limited (OFL), a sister concern of MJL Bangladesh Ltd, was established to set up the state-of-the-art tank terminal with a storage capacity of 70,000 metric tonnes.
 The terminal is located at Guptakhal, East Patenga, Chittagong over 6.175 acres of land, adjacent to the Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) of MJL Bangladesh Ltd.
The tank terminal will ensure availability of required HSFO to power plants and strengthen security of supply in the country.
This is the first and only tank terminal in Bangladesh with the design and construction certified by: "Germanischer Lloyd SE", a leading international certification body. BANGLADESH, OFL has invested an approximate amount of taka 1 (one) billion to establish this fully automated tank terminal, first of its kind in Bangladesh.
Mosleuddin, Additional secretary, Director Operation and planning, BPC, Mr. Nasimuddin Chowdhury, Additional Secretary, Energy and Mineral Resources Division were also present.
