TCS crosses Rs 5000b market cap

PUNE, July 23 (Business Standard): India's largest IT services provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today became the company with the highest market cap.

The company's stock price hit a 52-week high on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) at Rs 2,580.60 today, taking its total market cap over Rs 5000 billion.

It also left behind peers like Bangalore-based Infosys, Wipro and HCL Technologies.

TCS' market cap at 12.17 pm was Rs 5038.04 billion. It was ahead of the combined market cap of IT services players like Infosys (Rs 1899.80 billion), Wipro (Rs 1403.13 billion) and HCL Technologies (Rs 1079.53 billion).
