Technology Park opens in Netrakona

The Technology Park was inaugurated in Netrakona district on Wednesday in a significant step towards agricultural modernisation and innovation, says a press release.

This remarkable initiative is a collaborative effort between the Appropriate Scale Mechanization Innovation Hub (ASMIH)-Bangladesh Project, Bangladesh Agricultural University, and The Metal Pvt. Ltd., with vital support from the Single Shade Service Point (S3P).

Director of Appropriate Scale Mechanization Consortium (ASMC) Prof Dr Prashant K. Kalita and Managing Director of Metal Sadid Jamil jointly inaugurated The Technology Park at Purbadhola on Wednesday.

The heart of this Technology Park, the Machinery Service Point (S3P), serves as a beacon of progress by showcasing a diverse range of cutting-edge agricultural machinery manufactured by Metal companies.

This hub not only exhibits modern machinery but also serves as a training and service center for farmers, offering invaluable guidance on the operation and maintenance of these advanced agricultural tools.

Prof Dr. Md. Manjrul Alam Champak and Prof Chayan Kumar Saha of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Aliyu Faye, Director of ISRA-CERAAS, Senegal, and faculty member at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA, attended the inaugural ceremony.

The Technology Park promises to be a catalyst for agricultural transformation, offering farmers access to state-of-the-art machinery and invaluable knowledge, ultimately contributing to increased agricultural productivity and the prosperity of rural communities, the release added.
