Ten most-traded companies accounted for 34 per cent transactions on the prime bourse Wednesday. Monno Ceramic Industries topped the list for four consecutive sessions.
Market analysts said investors continued to show their appetite on Monno Ceramic shares amid dividend expectation as the company's year ended on June 30.
According to statistics available with the DSE, 901,746 shares of Monno Ceramic were traded, generating a turnover of nearly Tk 200 million, which was 5.32 per cent of the total turnover.
The total turnover on the DSE stood at Tk 3.75 billion on Wednesday, down from Tk 3.95 billion in the previous session.
The company's share closed at Tk 217.60 each on Wednesday, losing 5.19 per cent over the previous day.
The company's earnings per share (EPS) in nine months for July 2018-March 2019 stood at Tk 6.45 which was Tk 2.0 for July 2017-March 2018.
The net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) was negative Tk 0.16 for July 2018-March 2019 as against Tk 4.37 for July 2017-March 2018.
