Leading medicine manufacturers visit China

A seminar titled 'mutual cooperation in the development and expansion of China-Bangladesh API (Association of Pharmaceutical Industries)' was held in three provinces of China recently.

Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI) and Yunnan-Bengal Business Information Consultation Co., Ltd. jointly organised the seminar, said a statement.

The seminar shared insight into the importance of the mutual cooperation between the pharmaceutical industries of Bangladesh and China with a view to catalyzing the development of the industries.

Business-to-business meeting and the visit of factories producing raw materials for medicine, apart from the seminar will pave the path for building technological foundation for the industry.

The seminar was participated by 15 leading medicine manufacturers from Bangladesh and 30 from China.

SM Shafiuzzaman, general secretary of BAPI, led the team of delegates representing Bangladesh, while political leaders of Chinese government and high officials of API industries of the country participated in the discussion.

Moreover, Lu Sitong, managing director of Bohai technology park and party secretary, and Mahfuzul Alam Khan, commercial counselor of the Bangladeshi Embassy in China, graced the seminar with their presence and gave assurance for cooperation in the progress of the industry.
