Top 10 turnover leaders snare 22.70pc of total transaction

Top 10 turnover leaders grabbed 22.70 per cent of total turnover value featured by Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) in last week.

The premier bourse DSE featured a total turnover of above Tk 25.55 billion in five sessions.

Of total turnover, above Tk 5.80 billion was featured by top 10 turnover leaders.

Of the turnover leaders, two were from 'N' category companies, while remaining eight were from 'A' category issues.

Of the top turnover leaders, United Power Generation & Distribution Company posted a total turnover of above Tk 721.38 million.

The company captured 2.82 per cent of the DSE's turnover calculated in five sessions. The company's turnover rose 0.31 per cent in last week compared to previous week.

Square Pharmaceuticals captured 2.71 per cent of the DSE's weekly turnover after featuring a value of above Tk 691.37 million. The company's weekly turnover declined 2.25 per cent.

In last week, JMI Syringes & Medical Devices featured a turnover of above Tk 652.33 million and grabbed 2.55 per cent of the exchange's total turnover in last week.

The weekly turnover of Wata Chemicals was above Tk 650.67 million. The company grabbed 2.55 per cent of the exchange's weekly turnover.

SK Trims & Industries, an 'N' category company, featured a turnover of above Tk 546.39 million in last week and grabbed 2.14 per cent of the exchange's total turnover.

Another 'N' category company VFS Thread Dyeing grabbed 2.10 per cent of the exchange's weekly turnover after featuring a value of Tk 537.06 million in five sessions.

Of other companies, National Tea Company featured a total turnover of above Tk 515.88 million, Khulna Power Company above Tk 512.85 million, Pharma Aids above Tk 488.80 million and Sonali Aansh Industries above Tk 483.77 million in five sessions of last week.
