Dr. Md Touhidul Alam Khan joined NRBC Bank as managing director and CEO on May 05.
With over 32 years of banking experience and having served as the managing director & CEO of National Bank, he brings a wealth of executive leadership experience, industry expertise, and proven strategic capabilities to his new role, according to a statement.
Dr. Touhid commenced his banking career in 1993 as a senior officer at Agrani Bank. Later, he joined
Prime Bank and played an instrumental role in establishing local banks and financial institutions
as credible lead arrangers in syndication financing, said the statement.
He subsequently held pivotal leadership positions at several banks as chief business officer, chief risk officer, chief anti-money laundering compliance officer, etc.
Mr. Khan holds a master's degree in finance from the University of Dhaka. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Bangladesh. He is recognised as Bangladesh's first Certified Sustainability Reporting Assurer and holds a PhD, where his research focused on credit and sustainability risk assessment under GRI for the banking sector in Bangladesh.
