UCB holds 35th AGM

United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB) held its 35th annual general meeting (AGM) recently at Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka, presided over by the bank's Chairman Mrs Rukhmila Zaman, said a statement.
In the AGM, shareholders approved 10 per cent Cash dividend for the year 2017.
Mrs. Rukhmila Zaman, Hajee Yunus Ahmed and M. A. Sabur have been re-elected as the directors while Mrs. Afroza Zaman and Muhammed Shah Alam have been elected as directors of the bank.
At a board meeting at the bank's corporate office immediately after the AGM, Mrs. Rukhmila Zaman has been re-elected as the chairman of UCB while one of the sponsor directors of UCB Hajee Yunus Ahmed re-elected as Vice- Chairman and Anisuzzaman Chowdhury re-elected as Chairman, Executive Committee of the bank. Sponsor director M. A. Sabur has been elected as the Chairman of Risk Management Committee of UCB.
Akhter Matin Chaudhury, FCA (Bangladesh), FCA (England & Wales), FCS, Independent Director of UCB has also been re-elected as the Chairman of Audit Committee.
