United Commercial Bank (UCB) recently entered into a bancassurance agreement with Janata Insurance Company Limited. The agreement, signed at UCB's corporate head office, intends to offer insurance products to UCB's customers. Signatories for UCB included Syed Faridul Islam, managing director and CEO (current charge); ATM Tahmiduzzaman, additional managing director and CS; and ATM Tajmilur Rahman, chief bancassurance officer. Md Abu Bakkar Siddique, managing director and CEO; Md Iqbal Rashidi, additional managing director; and Md Ahsan Habib, company secretary, represented Janata Insurance Company.
