United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB) signed an agreement recently with ARS-Bangladesh (an MFI) for the purpose of Taka 7.0 million to be disbursed to 10 Taka Account holders through respective MFI under refinancing scheme of Taka 2.0 billion of Bangladesh Bank.
Mr. M Shahidul Islam, Additional Managing Director of UCB and Mr. Md. Shamsul Alam, Executive Director of ARS-Bangladesh signed the agreement on behalf of respective organisations.
Among others Additional Managing Director of UCB Mr. Mirza Mahmud Rafiqur Rahman; Deputy Managing Directors of UCB namely Mr. Md. Tariqul Azam & Mr. Mohammad Shawkat Jamil; Head of BCDD & EVP, UCB, Mr. Abu Sadeque Miah; Head of SME & SVP, UCB, Mr. Monabbir Ahmed Khan and Rina Debi Tripura, Vice-Chairman of ARS-Bangladesh were present at the signing ceremony.
“UCB, the leading private commercial bank of the country has been introducing banking practices in an innovative way since its inception in 1983”, said a statement.
