United Airways introduces Dhaka-Madinah flight

The United Airways (BD) Limited on Friday introduced its Dhaka-Madinah flight, reports UNB.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon formally inaugurated the flight as the chief guest at a function at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Religious Affairs Minister Principal Matiur Rahaman, Moinuddin Khan Badal, MP, and founder Chairman and Managing Director of United Airways Capt. Tasbirul Ahmed Choudhury attended the programme.
The one-way special fare for Dhaka-Madinah is Tk 27,243 and return fare is Tk 71,918.
There will be weekly three flights from Dhaka to Madinah on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
United Airways, the first ever and the only listed company in the capital market in aviation sector of Bangladesh, is now operating on international routes from Dhaka to Jeddah, Muscat, Dubai, Doha, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Kathmandu and Kolkata, and also operate from Chittagong to Kolkata.
United has a total of 11 aircraft in its fleet now -- one Dash-8-100, three ATR-72, five MD-83 and two Airbus-310 aircraft.
