Uttara Finance gets new DMD

ASM Shahin has joined Uttara Finance & Investments Limited (UFIL) as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) recently, says a press release.

He has more than 23 years' banking and business leadership experience gained through working in various private commercial banks and financial institutions of Bangladesh.

Mr Shahin held business and functional head positions, working for organisations like IIDFC, Midland Bank Ltd, IPDC, BRAC Bank Ltd and AB Bank Ltd.

Prior to joining Uttara Finance, he worked as senior executive vice president and head of Corporate Finance at IIDFC Ltd, vice president and unit head, Corporate Banking Division, at Midland Bank Ltd, deputy general manager and head of Medium Market Enterprise at IPDC Finance, and FAVP and head of Emerging Business at BRAC Bank Ltd.

Mr Shahin started off his career as a probationary officer at AB Bank Ltd in 2000. He completed BBA and MBA in finance from IBA, Jahangirnagar University.
