Wajid Hasan joins BICM as Executive President

Wajid Hasan Shah joined as the Executive President of the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) on Monday. Before his new appointment, he served as a Member (Additional Secretary) of the Bangladesh Competition Commission. Prior to that, he worked as a Director (Studies) at the BICM and as a Research Fellow at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS). Wajid Hasan has also worked as a consultant for various United Nations agencies, including UNDP, FAO, ILO, IOM, WFP, UN Women, and WHO. Wajid Hasan holds a BSc in Economics from Truman State University, an MA in Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and an MBA in Development Management from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at Dhaka University.
