The closing ceremony of a workshop titled 'Portfolio Management and Securities Analysis' was held in the board room of DSE Wednedsday.
Md. Shakil Rizvi, an incumbent director and former president of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) was the chief guest in the event.
"Investment risks are reduced if the portfolios are comprised of fundamental shares. Investors should avoid rumours for the sake of their own investments," Mr. Rizvi said.
He urged the participants to utilise the knowledge, which has been earned at the workshop, in their own work places.
At the workshop, different resource persons made their speeches to enhance investment related knowledge of the participants.
Mahmood Osman Imam, a Professor of Finance at the University of Dhaka, was also present at the ceremony of the 12-day long workshop arranged by the premier bourse.
At the end of the ceremony, the participants of the workshop were given certificates.
