Workshop on PPP project financing held

The Public Private Partnership Authority, Prime Minister's Office, organised a workshop titled 'Engagement of Banks and Non-Banking Financial Institutions in PPP Project Financing' at its conference hall on Thursday

The Public Private Partnership Authority, Prime Minister's Office, organised a workshop titled 'Engagement of Banks and Non-Banking Financial Institutions in PPP Project Financing' at its conference hall on Thursday, says a press release.

Banking and non-banking financial professionals participated in the workshop.

Muhammad Ibrahim, CEO of PPP Authority, gave a presentation on the PPP overview at the inaugural session.

Nafiul Hasan DG-1, Prime Minister's Office, Dr. Najmus Sayadat, Joint Secretary, Finance Division, and ABM Sertajur Rahman, Superintending Engineer, Road and Highways Department, conducted the other sessions.

They discussed the PPP Act 2015, Procurement Guidelines for PPP Projects, 2018 and related rules and guidelines.

Md Abul Bashar, Director General, PPP Authority, has briefed about PPP financing partnership and upcoming PPP projects for funding.

Representative from Prime Bank Limited, HSBC, NDB Capital Ltd., Industrial and Infrastruc-ture Develop-ment Finance Co. Ltd, Southeast bank, Midland Bank, Lankan Alliance Finance, The City Bank, Brac EPL Investment, Riverstone Capital, UCB Investment, Mutual Trust Bank, Standard Charted Bank, Eastern Bank Limited and Prime Bank Investment Ltd attended the workshop.
