Younus re-elected chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited

Mohammed Younus has been unanimously re-elected chairman of the Board of Directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited in its 354th Board meeting held recently, says a press release.
At the same meeting, Mohiuddin Ahmed was re-elected a vice-chairman and Abdul Karim (Nazim) elected another vice-chairman of the bank.
Chairman Mohammed Younus, a renowned industrialist and businessman, was born in a respectable Muslim family in Munshiganj District in 1958.
He has a long and creditable business experience of more than three decades, covering paper, IT, insurance, merchant bank, agri sector, fabrics and cold storage industry.
Mr Younus is also the managing director of Sobhan Ice & Cold Storage Ltd., Younus Cold Storage Ltd., Ananta Paper Mills Ltd., Younus Paper Mills Ltd., Younus Fine Paper Mills Ltd., Younus Spinning Mills Ltd., Sharif Cold Storage Ltd., Younus Newsprint Mills Ltd. and Younus Offset Paper Mills Ltd.
He is the publisher of online newspaper Sonalinews.com.
Vice-Chairman Mohiuddin Ahmed was born in a respectable Muslim family at Bangshal in Dhaka in 1955. He has a long and successful business experience for more than four decades.
Mr. Mohiuddin is the proprietor of Rupsha Trading Corporation and Mohiuddin Auto House. He is also the Chairman of Pacific Automobiles.
Mr. Mohiuddin is also the Vice-Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Ltd. and Sponsor Shareholder of Islami Insurance Bangladesh Ltd.
Vice-Chairman Abdul Karim, a prominent businessman, was born in 1965 in a noble Muslim family in Beanibazar, Sylhet.
He has been involved in business for more than three decades in United Kingdom. He is the chairman of London Tea Exchange BD, the Managing Director of Karim Enterprise Ltd. and proprietor of Maharani Restaurant, Camden in UK.
