Axentec supports Sonali Bank's farmer card rollout

Axentec PLC is providing secure connectivity support to Sonali Bank PLC for the government's Farmer Card initiative.
Under the pilot programme launched in Tangail, farmers are receiving financial services through point-of-sale (POS) machines. Dual SIM technology is being used to ensure uninterrupted connectivity in rural and semi-urban areas.
In the first phase, around 22,000 farmers in 11 upazilas across 10 districts are being brought under the scheme.
Axentec Managing Director and CEO Md Adil Hossain Nobel said the initiative would help deliver secure digital services at the grassroots level and strengthen the rural economy.
