bdapps innovation summit launches to

empower aspiring techpreneurs

The bdapps Innovation Summit 2025 is going to be launched today with a call to action for aspiring techpreneurs and early-stage developers across Bangladesh. The summit aims to discover and scale visionary Android apps and digital solutions through integration with the bdapps platform and access to monetization tools via telco APIs. This year's summit offers a total prize pool of BDT 5,00,000, with the Champion receiving BDT 2,00,000 along with marketing support, advanced API access, and full integration into the bdapps ecosystem. The 1st and 2nd Runner-ups will receive BDT 1,00,000 and BDT 50,000 respectively, while the 4th and 5th place winners will get BDT 25,000 each. The 6th to 10th place holders will earn BDT 10,000 each. All finalists will receive official certification and future access to bdapps events and programs. Online registration will remain open until May 31. The Top 20 teams will be announced on June 12, followed by the final Top 10 on June 15 after jury board evaluation. The summit will conclude with a physical gala and showcase event on June 19.

Banglalink launches first-ever hajj roaming

The Hajj Roaming Packs offer seamless coverage through Banglalink's partnerships with top Saudi networks-STC, Zain, and Etisalat. Packages range from BDT 594 for 3GB data and 15 minutes of talk time (valid for 7 days) to BDT 6,494 for 50GB and 300 minutes (valid for 60 days), catering to various needs and durations.

Huawei has once again been recognized with the bKash Partner Excellence Award, marking the fifth time it has received the honor for its continued support in driving sustainable economic development and advancing a cashless society in Bangladesh. The award was handed over at a recent ceremony to Zhou Xiaofeng (Tim), Vice President of Carrier Network Business Group, and Du CongCong (David), Account Director from Huawei South Asia. Since 2017, Huawei and bKash have maintained a strategic technology partnership. Huawei provides a full suite of technical, hardware, and software support, including mobile money solutions, contributing to bKash's mission of expanding financial inclusion.
