Huawei has officially kicked off the roadshows
for the 12th edition of its flagship competition, Seeds For The Future Bangladesh, an initiative aimed at empowering the country's ICT ecosystem by
enhancing the knowledge and skills of university
students. The roadshows, which started in February, have already made their way to several top
universities, including East West University, RUET, AUST, and BRAC University, attracting more than 1,000 students eager to learn and compete.
The roadshows are designed to inform students about the Seeds For The Future program,
detailing its
objectives, roadmap, and the various opportunities it offers. During the sessions, Huawei experts discussed the competition's significance, how students can prepare for it, and the benefits they can gain by
participating. The roadshow format is interactive, giving students the chance to ask questions, network, and explore how they can contribute to the
development of the ICT sector in Bangladesh.
"This initiative is about more than just a competition. It's about nurturing the next generation of ICT
leaders who will drive innovation and contribute to building a smarter, more connected Bangladesh," said a representative from Huawei.
The roadshows will continue across multiple
universities throughout the country until March. After that, the official inauguration of the program will take place in April, and registration for the
competition will open. Winners from Bangladesh will then advance to the regional competition in China, where they will compete against top students from across the Asia-Pacific region.
Seeds For The Future is a global competition
designed to identify and develop future ICT talent among university students. Launched in
Bangladesh in 2014, the program has grown
significantly, earning recognition for its role in
nurturing young ICT professionals. Over the years, it has provided students with a platform to hone their skills, gain practical experience, and connect with industry experts and leaders.
The competition is more than just about winning; it's a chance for students to gain valuable knowledge and skills in areas like 5G, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies.
The experience offers them the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the ICT field, gaining insights into the latest industry trends and cutting-edge innovations.
Since its inception, Seeds For The Future has seen
over 15,000 students from across the globe participate in its various stages. Each year, the competition
identifies exceptional individuals who show great promise in the ICT field and helps guide them toward future opportunities with some of the leading
companies in technology.

"This is an incredible opportunity for students in Bangladesh," said one of the program's alumni.
"The skills and knowledge I gained from Seeds For The Future have had a huge impact on my career. The
global exposure and experience with cutting-edge technology have helped me become a more
capable ICT professional."
With the ever-growing role of technology in Bangladesh's development, initiatives like Seeds
For The Future are crucial in building a skilled
workforce that can keep up with the demands of the global digital economy. Huawei's efforts to engage with students and foster their interest in ICT is an important step in developing a future-ready
workforce that will play a key role in shaping
the country's digital transformation.
As the roadshows continue to reach new students across Bangladesh, Seeds For The Future is set to
leave an even bigger impact this year, paving the way for the next generation of ICT leaders. With the
competition now open to a wider pool of students,
the future of Bangladesh's ICT sector looks bright,
and Huawei is playing a pivotal role in ensuring that
its young talent is equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
