3 promising architects receive KSRM Awards

Three promising architects were awarded KSRM Awards for their Best Undergraduate Thesis recently, says a statement.
They received the awards at a programme at the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) Centre in Dhaka.
The winners were selected based on their vision and merit in modern architecture. KSRM has given this award for the fifth time.
This year, final year undergraduate students from 13 architecture educational institutions in the country participated in the competition. A jury board of five architects selected the best three from among the 35 projects.
Fahim Ashfaq Farooqui of Chittagong University of Science and Technology (CHUTE) won the first prize while Mahia Mustari Nausheen and Israt Jahan of Bangladesh University of Science and Technology (BUET) bagged the second and third prizes respectively.
The winners were given a cheque for Tk 100,000, Tk 75,000 and Tk 50,000 respectively and crests. A joint initiative of KSRM and IAB presented the awards.
Mir Manjurur Rahman, chief architect of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, was present as the chief guest on the occasion. General Manager of KSRM Market Research and Development Branch Colonel (Retd.) Md. Ashfaqul Islam, KSRM Media and Public Relations Advisor Mizanul Islam, Legal Advisor Barrister Saiful Alam Chowdhury, and Deputy Manager Moniruzzaman Riad were present at the event.
