Arabica coffee edges higher

LONDON, June 9 (Reuters): Arabica coffee futures on ICE edged up on Tuesday, boosted by the prospect of some delays to the harvest in top producer Brazil while cocoa prices were also higher.
Arabica coffee was up 0.8% at $2.4785 per lb at 1107 GMT as the market edged further away from a 1-1/2 year low of $2.4330 set on Friday.
Dealers said rains in Brazil may slow the pace of harvesting this week although the world's top grower is still expecting a near-record crop.
Robusta coffee fell 0.6% to $3,314 a metric ton.
Meanwhile, London cocoa gained 1.4% to £2,972 per ton.
Dealers said the market had derived support from expectations that an El Nino weather event could curb production in West Africa during the 2026/27 season.
Cocoa arrivals at ports in top grower Ivory Coast reached 1.822 million tons by June 7 since the start of the season on October 1, up 11% from the same period last season.
New York cocoa rose 2.5% to $3,926 a ton.
