BAB and BSI hold training on ISO/IEC 17025:2017

The Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) Md. Anwarul Alam was present as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony held at a city hotel on Tuesday.

The Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) and the British Standards Institution (BSI) have jointly organized a three-day Understanding Training Course on ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories) in the capital.

The Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) Md. Anwarul Alam was present as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony held at a city hotel on Tuesday.

There were representatives of the British High Commission in Dhaka and the British Standards Institution at the ceremony.

There were 30 participants in the training, mostly from Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Department of Environment (DoE), Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI) and some other private sector laboratories.

In the inauguration ceremony, the Director General of BAB emphasized the role of accreditation to achieve the vision 2041 to build smart Bangladesh.
