Banglalink 3G launched in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Apr 24 (BSS): Country's mobile telecom operator Banglalink has commercially launched its 3G services in Mymensingh Wednesday.

Ekramul Hoque Tito, mayor of Mymensingh municipality, inaugurated the services at a local hotel as chief guest.

Shihab Ahmad, Chief Commercial Officer, Asifuzzaman Khan, regional commercial head, Mymensingh and other high officials of Banglalink were present at the inaugural ceremony.

The commercial launching of 3G service will lead Mymensingh to a new technological era with the corporate slogan 'Banglalink 3G for all', which will enable customers to enjoy unique services that rely on highspeed data connectivity, Shihab Ahmad said.

A Banglalink subscriber supported with 3G services can enjoy video calling as well. Banglalink is the first mobile operator to offer its customers with 3G enabled contents such as local radio apps, audio streaming and video streaming services, along with some useful mobile portals, he said.

Later a colourful procession was brought out marking the launching ceremony.

The company started its 3G journey commercially from 10 October, 2013 in Bangladesh. Within a short time, the mobile operator has commercially launched 3G in the important areas of Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, Narayanganj and Sylhet.
