Blenders active, Loose tea buyers virtually absent

Blenders continued to be active this week but Loose tea buyers virtually remained absent from the market. Good liquoring types continued to receive good support from the Blenders with once again sclect few lines selling above Tk 200. Dusts were a lower market in line with quality, according to Brokers Limited press release.
CTC LEAF: 26,812 packages and 881 packages of old season tea on offer met with quite a fair demand but at slightly easier rates.
BROKENS: Good liquoring smaller Brokens met with a fairly good demand but were slightly easier and these were sold between Tk 185 and Tk195. All other were also easier and were lower by upto Tk 5 while the plainer varicties were again neglected.
FANNINGS: Good liquoring Fannings met with a fairly good demand easing slightly and these were sold between Tk 195 and Tk 195. All other varieties were also easier with the plainest varieties difficult of sale,
CTC DUST: 4,579 packages and 120 packages of old season tea on offer met with a fair demand again at easier rates. Good liquoring RDs/PDs/Ds eased by Tk 5 while other varieties eased bv upto Tk. 10. CDs were a lower market but eased by upto Tk 20 in line with quality. Blenders lent fairly good support with some interest from the Loose tea buyers.
