BPDB frees land from illegal occupation

Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has recently evicted a business house operating illegally on a portion of its 89.2 acres of land located in Dhaka's Keraniganj.
The land, currently valued at approximately Tk4.45 billion, was recovered at the well-thought-out and timely initiative of BPDB Chairman Anjana Khan Majlish, says a press release.
BPDB had acquired the land on January 16 in 2011 to set up a power plant in Awrahati village of Char Golgolia.
