CHATTOGRAM, Oct 17: The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) held a view exchange meeting with Commercial Counselor of the US Embassy John Fay at the World Trade Centre (WTC) in the port city on Monday.
Addressing the meeting, John Fay commended Bangladesh's remarkable progress in infrastructure and connectivity sectors.
The USA is keen to invest in a big market of 170 million people in Bangladesh, he said, adding that Bangladesh should simplify its investment policy to attract foreign investment.
Mr Fay also stressed the need for streamlining services at the Chittagong seaport and the Chittagong Custom House.
CCCI President Omar Hazzaz chaired the meeting. CCCI Vice President Raisa Mahbub, and Directors A K M Akter Hossain, Md Ahid Seraj Chowdhury Swapon, Anjan Shekhor Das, Md Rakibur Rahman Tutul, Mahafujul Haque Shah, Mohammed Adnanul Islam and Omar Muktadir were also present.
