CHICAGO, June 19 (Xinhua): Chicago agricultural commodities rose across the board Wednesday, led by wheat.

The most active corn contract for July delivery rose 2.75 cents, or 0.63 per cent, to close at US$4.415 per bushel. July wheat gained 5.25 cents, or 0.9 per cent, to close at $5.87 per bushel. July soybeans climbed 10.75 cents, or 0.77 per cent, to close at $14.09 per bushel.

Wheat rose strongly for technical reasons Wednesday, while corn and soybeans just followed in active volume.

Funds have been active buyers of wheat based on prediction that quality wheat supplies may grow tight as rain is expected for harvest areas in Kansas and Nebraska next week.
