DAPFCL resumes production of fertiliser

CHATTOGRAM, May 10: DAP Fertilizer Company Limited (DAPFCL) at Anwara in Chattogram has resumed production. The DAPFCL's production was stopped on April 18 due to shortage of ammonia.

Managing Director of DAPFCL Mohammad Moinul Haque said, "DAPFCL resumed its production at 2 pm on Saturday. The supply of ammonia for DAPFCL started after production starting at KAFCO on May 2. After storing ammonia for a few days, the factory production resumed at 2 pm on Saturday."

When the factory of DAPFCL is operational, 600-700 tonnes of urea are produced daily. The DAPFCL under the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) started commercial production of DAP fertilizer in 2006.
