French envoy visits Ctg port

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 18: Ambassador of France to Bangladesh Jean-Marc Sere-Charlet visited Chittagong Port, the prime seaport of Bangladesh recently.
Upon arrival at Chittagong Port, he met with the Chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA), Rear Admiral SM Moniruzzaman.
The CPA Chairman informed the ambassador of the development and progress indicators of Chittagong Port, particularly ship waiting time, turnaround time, increase in yard capacity, digitalisation and various other issues.
Jean-Marc SERE-CHARLET expressed satisfaction with the current operational capacity, efficiency, various development projects, security measures and recent successes of the port.
Besides, the envoy discussed in details other matters related to Bangladesh's interests, including the export of goods and services to the European Union.
The delegation also visited the operational activities of Chittagong Port.
