Loose tea buyers were more active in the last week market, as demand for the same was high, according to a press release.

Blenders continued to operate in good strength which resulted in a slightly dearer market. Good liquoring Dusts were a strong feature of the sale.

CTC LEAF: 18,729 packages and 68 packages of old season teas on offer continued to meet with a good demand at firm rates.

BROKEN: Good Brokens were a strong feature of the sale and often dearer by Tk 1.0-Tk 3.0 and sold between Tk 197 and Tk 202. All others also had a good market with the Mediums being firm and the plainer sorts easing slightly.

FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings were a good market and were firm to occasionally dearer selling between Tk 196 and Tk 199. All others also met with a good market and somewhat followed a similar trend.

CTC DUST: 4,330 packages and 67 packages of Old Season teas on offer met with quite a good demand.

Good liquoring varieties were a good market following a fair competition and sold at around last week levels. All others eased by Tk 3.0 to Tk 5.0 in line with quality. Blenders lent good support with some interest from the Loose tea buyers.
