IBFB appoints Dr. Abdul Mazid new adviser

Dr. Muhamad Abdul Mazid, retired Secretary to the government of Bangladesh and former chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), has been appointed adviser of the International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB), says a statement.

Mr. Mazid started his career with Bangladesh Bank and joined the Bangladesh Civil Service as a BCS Audit and Accounts cadre in 1981. He did his PhD in Social Science.

Prior to retiring as Secretary of the Ministry of Finance (MoF), he served in many senior positions in public service. He was a member in the Planning Commission and a Director of the Board of Investment (BoI).

Dr Mazid served as a trade diplomat (Commercial Counsellor) for six years at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. He has more than 35 years of experience of working in the public finance sector. He has been a visiting faculty in the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) and the University of Information Technology and Science (UITS). He has 46 publications to his credit.
