ICAB holds standards compliance workshop

Muhammad Farooq FCA, president of ICAB, inaugurated the workshop on "Compliance of Standards in Audited Financial Statements of Listed Banks" organised by the Institute of Chartered Institute of Bangladesh (ICAB) under the purview of the quality assurance review activities of the Institute on Monday

The virtual workshop on "Compliance of Standards in Audited Financial Statements of Listed Banks" organised by the Institute of Chartered Institute of Bangladesh (ICAB) under the purview of the quality assurance review activities of the institute was held through the Zoom app on Monday.

About 120 CFOs, other relevant executives of banks, the partners and relevant managers of audit firms engaged in audit of listed banks attended the workshop.

Muhammad Farooq FCA, president of ICAB, inaugurated the workshop and Mahbub Ahmed Siddique FCA, director technical of ICAB, made a presentation on initial findings specifically in relation to compliance with standards in the audited financial statements of listed banks.

The main purpose of the workshop was to enhance and ensure the compliance with relevant standards and regulations relating to the financial statements of listed banks in coming days.

The concluding remark was made by Kamrul Abedin FCA, council member and chairman of Quality Assurance Board of ICAB.
