Jamuna Oil to donate Tk 2m to July Shaheed Smrity Foundation

CHATTOGRAM, Apr 19: Jamuna Oil Company Ltd. (JOCL) announced a donation of Tk 2.0 million to the July Shaheed Smrity Foundation as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The decision was made during the company's 533rd Board meeting, held virtually on April 16, with M. A. Akmall Hossain Azad, Member of the Bangladesh Planning Commission's Physical Infrastructure Division (Senior Secretary), in the chair.

The meeting was attended by JOCL Board Directors, including Kaosar Zahura, Md. Shamsul Alam Bhuiyan, Dr. Nurun Nahar Chowdhury, Mahammad Abdul Quader, Engineer Manzarey Khoeshed Alam, Engineer Shaikh Al Amin and Saleh Ahmed Khasru.

Managing Director Mustafa Qudrat-I-Elahi and Company Secretary Md. Masudul Islam were also present.

The contribution of Tk 2.0 million underscores JOCL's commitment to supporting meaningful causes, with the donation aimed at aiding the July Shaheed Smrity Foundation's efforts to honour and support the families of martyrs.
