Jute growers happy with prices in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH, Aug 11 (BSS): Jute growers of the district are happy, as they are getting fair prices of their produces.
Some jute growers and traders said over the last few years, farmers became disappointed due to low price of jute and for that reason cultivation of jute decreased in the district.
But this year reasonable price would encourage farmers again to go for jute cultivation. Now jute is being sold between Tk 2,000 and Tk 2,200 per mound.
