NESCO opens EV charging station

Under the initiative of 'Go Green,' the Northern Electricity Supply Company (NESCO) Limited, Rajshahi, set up an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station at Lata Filling Station in Aam Chattar of Rajshahi on Friday.
The Electric Vehicle Charging Station was inaugurated by Habibur Rahman, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, as the chief guest.
Presided over by Zakiul Islam, Managing Director of NESCO, the inaugural function was attended by Mahbubur Rahman, Chairman of Bangladesh Power Development Board as the Special Guest. NDC Dr Syed Masum Ahmed Chowdhury, Additional Secretary and Chairman of NESCO, Directors of NESCO and SM Faisal, Director, Riveria Power and Automation Engineering Limited, were also present.
In another event, Senior Secretary Habibur Rahman also laid the foundation stone of a five-storied building for controlling centrally the smart distribution system of electricity at Kalabagan of Rajshahi.
