MADRID, July 5 (Xinhua): The Spanish government passed on Friday new measures to enhance market unity in Spain.
These new measures were announced at the press conference following the cabinet meeting.
The government said that now it would be easier for stores to open more hours in several cities pointing out that the number of cities enjoying these measures would be extended.
Municipalities should select the so-called "large tourist areas," where small and large shops can determine their opening days and times.
The government stressed that this measure would strengthen the relationship between trade and tourism in Spain, which received about 60 million international tourists in 2013 and is expected to exceed that figure in 2014.
