Sudan interested in BD manpower

Sudan expressed keenness to take Bangladeshi workers for developing their fisheries sector, said the visiting non-resident Ambassador of Sudan to Bangladesh on Sunday.
"Bangladesh and Sudan could mutually utilise their potential for bilateral benefits of the two Muslim countries." Dr Hassan E. El Talib, the ambassador of Sudan, told the FE after meeting with the fisheries and livestock minister Muhammed Sayedul Hoque at his ministry office on the day.
He said that Sudan has a vast area of land and Bangladesh could invest in the agriculture sector to help ensure food security.
"There is a scope for cultivation of our agricultural lands through joint venture. We will welcome Bangladeshi people to come to Sudan and cultivate our agricultural land on a lease basis that will help attain food security in both the countries," the envoy said.
He said that he would convey the development of Sunday's meeting to his government so that the two countries sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for mutual cooperation in different fields.
Asked about the possibility of signing the MoU between the two countries in different fields, he said: "We hope that we will be able to do this after our presidential election which will be held by this year. And after the election, we will welcome the delegation from Bangladesh to discuss on how best the two countries cooperate with each other".
Fisheries Minister assured the Sudan ambassador of providing allout cooperation from Bangladesh for developing the fisheries sector in Sudan, a high official of the ministry of fisheries who was present at the meeting told the FE.
