Stefan Liller, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bangladesh, praised Beximco Industrial Park for its remarkable progress in sustainable manufacturing.

Liller, along with a delegation, toured Beximco's facilities on Thursday witnessing first-hand the integration of advanced technologies and sustainable practices.

The UNDP Chief was highly impressed with the advanced technologies deployed by Beximco in its Vertical Manufacturing Units and extensive measures taken to achieve a global leadership position in sustainability.

He was also very keen to be updated on Beximco's initiatives on sustainability including Collaboration with Recovertex (A global leader on recycling Post Production Consumer Waste) and other recycling initiatives taken by Beximco, state of the art effluent treatment plant along with RO systems for re-cycling water, the world's largest and most advanced technology-based sustainable washing plant under one roof and Beximco's automated garment manufacturing factories.

He was overwhelmed by Beximco's super developed manufacturing units and said the facilities were more standard and more organised than many of the manufacturing units he saw in Europe.

He also visited Shinepukur Ceramics which produces fine porcelain tableware products and high-end bone-china utensils.
