US brand coffee outlet opens in city soon

Increasing demand of coffee has driven investors to bring US brand coffee named Crimson Cup Coffee in the city soon.

Columbus Coffee will offer different varieties of espresso-based coffee drinks such as cappuccino, latte, mocha and some other special Crimson Cup's iced and frozen drinks from May 15.

Crimson Cup Coffee -- the popular coffee brand based in Columbus, Ohio in the United States of America -- started journey in 1991 and is now being served in 28 states across the United States.

Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan (Jun), one of the owners of the Columbus Coffee, says the best coffee beans in the world are extracted from the South American lands as its taste is a little bit different and better than coffee from other countries.

Jun, also director of Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says the Columbus Coffee will import the coffee brand with different flavours.

A press release issued in this connection said the first outlet of Columbus Coffee would be launched at Banani-11 on May 15. But three more shops would soon be launched at Dhanmondi, Uttara and Mirpur. Besides, such shops would be extended to Chittagong, Sylhet and Cox's Bazar where demand of coffee is increasing.

It said apart from the high quality drinks, Columbus Coffee would also offer delicious bakery items such as brownies, donuts, cheese cakes and red velvet cakes.

At the inaugural ceremony, founder of Crimson Cup Greg Ubert, Directors of Columbus Coffee Mohaimin Mostafa, Rehanur Rahman, Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan (Jun), Ayesha Bhuiyan Tyu, Mirza Abdul Khaled, Sarfaraj Anwar Upol and officials of the Lion Group will be present.

The demand for coffee has been increasing in the country in recent years bringing various brands and flavours which include Northern End, Gloria Jeans, Barista, Coffee Mango and Coffee World.
