The Farm Machinery and Postharvest Process Engineering Division (FMPE) of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) organised a workshop on 'Progress of Talent Hunt and Development Activities for Agricultural Machinery' at the FMPE Seminar Room on Monday.
The programme was funded by (FMD) project. Representatives from Department of Agricultural Extension, Bangladesh Rice Research Institute, CIMMYT Bangladesh, International Rice Research Institute, International Potato Center, ACI Motors, Metal Agro, and WeGro Agri-Fintech, and teachers and students from government and private universities and various agricultural machinery inventors participated in this workshop.
BARI's Director (Research) Dr. Munshi Rashid Ahmad Ahmed presided over the session while Director (Support & Services) Dr. Ashraf Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest. Director (Training and communication) Dr. Md. Ataur Rahman was present as the special guest, says a press statement.
Chief Scientific Officer (FMPE Division) and Project Director (FMDP) Dr. Md. Nurul Amin presented the keynote paper on the project activities in this workshop. Senior Scientific Officer (FMPE Division) Dr. Muhammad Arshadul Hoque presented information about various agricultural machinery displayed at this workshop.
Additionally, modern agricultural technologies and effective methods developed under the project were showcased, contributing to the generation of new ideas among participants and facilitating technology transfer.
At the event, top ten inventors were awarded certificates, crests and prize money for technologies invented at different times under the talent Hunt programme.
