29 entities receive Green Factory Award 2023

Four entities of Ispahani Group win the laurels

Mirza Ahmed Ispahani, Director of M. M. Ispahani Limited, receiving the Green Factory Award-2023' for his company from Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad, Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, at a function in the city on Sunday.

Three tea gardens and one export-oriented textile mill of the Ispahani Group have received the Green Factory Award for 2023 for their commitment to providing workers and environment-friendly working environment, says a press release.

In the tea category, 'Mirzapore Tea Garden', 'Zareen Tea Garden', and 'Ghazipore Tea Garden'and in the textile category, 'Pahartali Textile and Hosiery Mills' have been awarded 'Green Factory Award-2023'.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment Affairs presented the awards at a function on Sunday.

The Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments, under the Ministry of Labour and Employment Affairs, awarded the 'Green Factory Award-2023' to 29 factories/organisations, including the entities of the Ispahani Group, across 12 domestic sectors.

Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad, Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, distributed the award as the chief guest. State Minister for Labour and Employment Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury was present as the special guest, and Labour and Employment Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain presided over the function.

Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad, Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, handed over the awards to Mirza Ahmed Ispahani, Director of M. M. Ispahani Limited, Golam Mustafa, COO-GMTE and Mr. Mahbubul Alam, COO-PTHM. Earlier also two tea gardens of Ispahani Group, -- 'Ghazipore' and 'Neptune' -- received the 'Green Factory Award-2020'.
