71 nomination papers submitted

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 21: A total of 71 nomination papers were submitted on Sunday for the election of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), scheduled for November 1.
Sunday was the last date for submission of nomination papers, according to the election schedule.
A total of 24 directors will be elected through this election of the country's oldest trade body for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 terms.
All 71 nomination papers sold were submitted within the stipulated time, sources said.
This year, four panels are contesting in the election. The groups are led by Amir Haque, Nurul Haque, Amjad Chowdhury, and Shahajada Mohiuddin -- all prominent figures in the business community.
The election will decide 24 director posts across four categories: 12 from the Ordinary Member category, six from the Associate Member category, three from the Trade Group and three from the Town Association Group.
