73 cos named for Nat'l Export Trophy

Seventy-three export companies have been selected for awarding National Export Trophy for the fiscal year (FY) 2020-21 for their outstanding contribution to the economy.

A gazette notification in this regard was issued by the Commerce Ministry on July 24, 2023.

Among the exporters, Rifat Garments Ltd will receive the "Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Exports Trophy" as the best exporter of the FY '21.

Commerce Minister is expected hand over the trophies to the recipient companies as the chief guest at a ceremony at InterContinental Dhaka in the city.

Some 71 exporters received the 'National Export Trophy' for the fiscal year (FY) 2019-20.

The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) selected the companies based on their export performance, a high official told the FE.

He, however, said gold, silver and bronze trophies will be given to the exporters firms, representing different sectors.
