Aam, Silk Prodorshoni, Loko Utshob concluded in Rajshahi

The yearly 'Aam, Silk Prodorshoni O Loko Utshob 2014', a three-day-long festival organised by the Aamra Rajshahibashi concluded at Rajshahi City Corporation Green Plaza recently, says a press release.
The festival included showcasing of mango and Rajshahi silk and traditional Gombhira and Baul songs which was sponsored by Banglalink for the seventh consecutive time.
It is basically a reunion of three major products that have cultural value for the Bengali people. Mango is the leading seasonal cash crop of the north-western region of the country and dominates the economy in Rajshahi and Chapainawabganj districts.
People from all over the country gather to celebrate the festival. Mr Md Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul, Mayor, Rajshahi City Corporation, inaugurated the ceremony as the chief guest. Swapon Chowdhury Paul, Director General, Bangladesh Sericulture Board (BSB) and Shah Rafiul Kabir, Regional Commercial Head, Rajshahi, Banglalink were present as special guests,  among others.
To celebrate the event, hundreds of mango research experts, silk research experts and legendary Gombhira singers and bauls attended and performed, providing a scope of entertainment for all kinds of people from all walks of life.
