Chief Conservancy Officer of RCC Sheikh Md Mamun showed the team RCC's present waste management system, secondary transfer station and landfill located in different parts of the city.
Hans Weilinga from Ecocreation explained the latest Dutch waste disposal system which can transform organic waste to compost by 24 hours.
The RCC officials showed their keen interest in this technology and assured the visiting team of cooperating in launching a pilot project for waste management in the RCC.
Everybody in the meeting agreed that this would be a very effective and unique technology for urban waste management in Bangladesh.
ACI is planning to start a pilot project in the RCC soon.
Probha Aurora, a social enterprise that works with youth on climate change, protection of the environment and ethical and moral values, will be playing a role in raising awareness and connecting the community there.
